Only Matthew Perry could make me laugh so much at such a deeply tortured story. Some things hit really differently now that he’s gone.
The writing can be a bit confusing, he jumps around in time a lot so it can be hard to keep things straight. Still thoroughly enjoyed.

I listened to this book and was able to get through it very quickly. I found it really interesting to get insight into Matty Perry's life outside of the image we have of him from Friends. It was immensely pensive, sad, compelling, and engaging; I gave it a solid 3.75 stars. I just thought it was slightly too long, but I think this also could be my personal taste -- the descriptions of his substance abuse were raw and real, and it made me even more of a fan of him.

I enjoyed this book as a big Friends fan, and it was very eye-opening in terms of the interplay between Matthew’s addiction and substance use and his career. Always great to hear a story in the author’s voice, particularly such a familiar tone and cadence from Chandler Bing :)

I was very close to not finishing this. I continued on out of pure curiosity.
