i will never believe it's fair to put a score in a book about the life of somebody else, specially when this person is already gone (in this case the score is obvious)

what an amazing book, i will never forget about it the same way i will never forget about matthew.

It’s more of a 3.5 stars. I think listening to it after Matthew Perry has passed made the book a little more heavy. I appreciate that he didn’t hold back or sugar coat anything (even if it was hard to read), because it brings to light the disease of addiction. Hearing everything he went through and then coming out of it at the end was powerful. I will say I was ready to be finished with the book when I was 75% done. Overall, good memoir but probably won’t read again.

““if you spend too much time looking in the rearview mirror, you’ll crash your car.”

“Do you know what St. Peter says to everyone who tries to get into heaven?"
...
"Peter says, 'Don't you have any scars?' And when most would respond proudly, 'Well, no, no I don't,' Peter says, 'Why not? Was there nothing worth fighting for?”

“I am me. And that should be enough, it always has been enough. I was the one who didn’t get that.”

“God is everywhere - you just have to clear your channel, or you’ll miss it.”
