A must read for anyone who loves an addict and /or is one themselves. I devoured this book. It is heartbreaking and beautiful and funny and deeply unsettling.

I appreciate the struggles Matthew Perry has gone through, and continues to go through. This might be an eye opening experience to someone that hasn’t been touched by addiction by either themselves, family members or close friends. Addiction is truly a disease that is explained well by Matthew. Hearing about his life and getting minor behind the scenes tidbits was interesting.

The pacing of this book sometimes felt a bit slow. Some scenes felt repetitive, like they were added multiple times in the book (perhaps an echo of how circular his relationship with drugs and alcohol were), which I didn’t enjoy.

Overall, enjoyed hearing his perspective.
