When All is Said

This book was just ok for me. I think the second half was better than the first. It was a sad sorty about a man who misses his wife and tell the story of his life to some important people.

This book destroyed me.

بالاخره فرار از این کتاب تموم شد و تونستم به پایان برسونمش

Sappy :/

Tear jerker alert. I was ugly crying during the entire last chapter.

Maurice wasn't always the best friend, husband, father but this book still made me love him. The struggles he dealt with defined his life (don't they always) and he wants to make amends. His undying devotion and love for his family and friends was breathtaking.

Beautifully written, quintessentially Irish and incredibly enjoyable

Predictable and the characters weren't rich enough to make it up for it sadly.

I enjoyed the character development of Maurice - an adorable curmudgeon - as you journeyed into his memories through each of his toasts, but something about the whole experience fell a bit flat for me. While Griffin’s storytelling is undoubtably great, it was obvious where she was going, and I never felt like there was a true climax.

I loved everything about this book such great storytelling in each chapter. It be a fiver for me but I couldn’t except the ending I hated it I can’t say more otherwise it would ruin it for whoever reads it.

I really enjoyed this book! An old Irish man toasts 5 important people in his life. The author weaves a wonderful story with well developed characters...can’t ask for much more!
