I was a bit let down by this book. Have read it two times now and for the amount of modern people who witter on about how it's message is still applicable today it does seem to show its age
Probably would have gotten a lot more out of this if I were a 15th century Japanese swordsman, or had maybe read a better translation.
The Book of Five Rings is a bit meandrous. However, it offers practical wisdom on the importance of being fully present, and on reducing showmanism in one’s work.
