This is an incredibly absorbing book about the 1980 Iranian embassy siege. If you are over a certain age you’ll have probably watched live as the SAS stormed the building. This is a thorough examination of the backgrounds and characters of all the individuals involved, terrorists, hostages, politicians, journalists, police and army. Only a British run hostage situation could involve consideration of a nesting duck and a small caged rodent.
A brilliant book!
Thanks to the publisher for copy of the book in return for an honest review.

Another brilliantly written book from Ben Macintyre. I couldn’t put the book down, and it’s the first time
I’ve been happy that my train home was delayed as it meant I could read more of it.
