I really enjoyed about half of the novellas, but thought a few were just way too long.
You know, I've owned this book for fecking ages and I have never read past the first two stories, The Library Policeman and The Sun Dog were actually both really good, I liked the fact the last story went back to kid relatedness. I've found Stephen King's stories where kids were the main characters are my favorite. And the Sun Dog is one of the best stories in the book oddly enough, if I do a reread I'll definitely go through and read this one again as well! Love this set of stories.

The first 2 stories were ok. The third story was passable too except for the ending which makes you feel cheated.
The last story in the book (The Sun Dog) was one of the stupidest things I've ever read in my life. I can't believe Stephen King actually decided to publish it. The entire story is nonsense. I don't know what he was thinking or if he was even thinking at all when he decided to publish it.

The premises of these novellas were really good (especially The Langoliers), but the latter halves of the novellas were reduced to rambling messes.
