This was my first low-angst read of Suki's and I can honestly say I adored it just as much as I adore her angsty reads. It was so very adorable and sweet in all the ways I needed it to be and the characters were likable and easy to read about. Needless to say Suki has once again showed me why I want to rush out and buy everything she has ever written.

Oh my god! David and Jess are just so precious I want to put them in my pocket. From start to finish, this Christmas story satisfied my craving for watching good things happen to good people. The writing was good and there was the perfect balance between smexy and sweet moments.

I find it hard to believe that this is my first exposure to Suki Fleet's writing. Her name has been popping up all over my newsfeed for months and I have not missed the sheer number of glowing reviews my friends have written about her books. So consider the situation about to be rectified - [b:This is Not a Love Story|22499313|This is Not a Love Story (Love Story Universe)|Suki Fleet|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1403167488s/22499313.jpg|40332545] and [b:Lima Oscar Victor Echo and The Truth About Everything|25675357|Lima Oscar Victor Echo and The Truth About Everything|Suki Fleet|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1433572005s/25675357.jpg|45499826] just made the top of my TBR mountain.

Short book about horny boys at Christmas who develop feelings they weren't expecting.
Yeah it was so short there wasn't much depth, but it remains enjoyable if all you're looking for a short book with a bit of easy romance and a wintery vibe.

This might actually be my favorite story from Suki Fleet so far, or at least the one I thought had the best writing, and that's saying something since I truly loved Foxes.
It didn't feel like a short story, and perhaps it really wasn't that short, since "short stories" go from the shortest number of pages you can imagine to a number like 100 or something that isn't really defined... This one has 101 pages and that is more than enough, it shone.
There was definitely evolution in those 101 pages, when it came to the characters, which is really hard to accomplish, and one of the sweetest stories I've ever had the pleasure of reading.
I'll miss David and I'll most definitely be missing Jess, who I just want to hold and hug and yeah you get the picture.
There's some sexual content, beware, some hot and lovely smexy scenes ;)
I truly recommend this.

Innocuous mm romance

This is an OK story. Although the author tried to create angst with Jess' backstory and with David and Jonny, it just wasn't that big a deal.

There were some editing issues, especially with punctuation in a conversation at the end of the story.

I've enjoyed Suki Fleet in the past, the same cannot be said of this book. It's like I was reading the rough draft of a story centered around overdramatic youths.

You would think that Jess is at least in his 30s, the way he constantly goes on about it being so long since this, ages since that, and that he hadn't felt like that since he was a teen. You're 21, Jess. You were a teen 2 years ago, not 20.

At least be bothered enough to remove your strike-through and underlined text before releasing a book. Good thing this was on KU, because if I had paid for this, I wouldn't have been impressed. An actual excerpt: The busker picked up a note and few coins of the floor pavement ground and held them out to her.

A sweet shorter m/m romance that wasn't quite to my taste plot/pacing wise, but competently written and did a good job with fleshing out side characters as well as the main couple.

This was a lovely little story, but I didn't find it particularly special or memorable. A nice read to pass time.
