I love stories with librarians. I always think they have such a big heart and are always so excited to share their love of reading with you! So when I find one set in a library, I'm always excited to read it!
This one had a bit of an interesting start. It was a bit overwhelming as I felt the whole cast of characters and information hit very quickly. But soon I found the rhythm of the story and I was sucked in! Although there were some heavy topics, I thought the end did a great job of pulling it all together for me.
A huge thank you to the author and publisher for providing an e-ARC via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion regarding the book.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters have depth. Writing is well done and thoughtful. Told from several characters point of view offers great insight. Very meaningful with bits of sad, happy, and insightful.

I didn’t have any expectations when I started The Night of Many Endings, but found myself really enjoying the story. It took me a few chapters to get really into it but after that I was fully invested in every characters story. Librarian Nora, security guard Vlado, Marlene an elderly loner, Lewis a homeless man, and Jasmine a troubled teen are all stranded and take shelter together at a library during a winter storm. Here they find themselves fighting and eventually opening up to each other.
They all teach other a valuable lesson about life and letting go. All the characters have their own issues and secrets. I really found it beautiful how they all towards to end started to open up and work together. My heart broke for the characters and they all had their own heartbreak they had to deal with. This story was fast-paced and a bit rushed at times. Especially towards the end it left me a bit unsatisfied. The writing style had a great flow and it was very easy to read. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

What a surprise! I read this one on a whim because it was a KU with audible read and I really loved it. Set over the course of one day this story is about what can happen when strangers are stuck inside after a huge snow storm and how they all had misconceptions about each other and how those immediate misconceptions are usually wrong.
Recommend for people who have enjoyed A Man Called Ove and Remarkably Bright Creatures. Life lessons and good writing are always a good combination.

Fantastic read! 4 1/2 stars.
I didn't understand why the friend Amanda was even part of the story. She didn't add any value to it. Could have cut her character out entirely.
I loved how the other characters were all interwoven.

SYNOPSIS:
- There’s a big snow storm in the town of Silver Ridge, Colorado. A group of folks end up stuck together in the town’s library.
- There is an altruistic librarian, an unhoused drug addicted man, an older, cynical woman, a teenage girl that no one can figure out, & a security guard that likes to read.
- As the night goes on, we see there’s more to all of the characters beneath their surfaces.
MY THOUGHTS
- This was an easy, quick read.
- I enjoyed the writing style. Multiple POVs. Switched between Nora (the librarian), Marlene (older woman), & Lewis (unhoused man). There are some flashbacks/memories to prior moments, as the majority of book takes place on this one night.
- Major Breakfest Club vibes.
- There are some heavy topics throughout the book, such as losing a parent, drug addiction, loneliness, etc. For that reason, I would recommend starting the book when you are in the right head space for it.
TL;DR: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️quick read. Breakfast Club vibes.
Graphic: Addiction, Death, Drug abuse, Drug use, Grief, Death of parent
Moderate: Suicidal thoughts

Not at all what I was expecting from the back cover but oh my. The ride it takes you on, making you appreciate you never can read a book by its cover in so many different ways. Terrifyingly beautiful and horribly moving. It puts a lot of things in a different light on so many different stages of a journey that we all could find ourselves on. A loved one or ourselves struggling, being misunderstood or misconstrued, and the importance of safe spaces like libraries. Top five reads of 2023.
