Nothing wrong with this one per se, but there were definitely less shining moments throughout and the climax left me wanting.

This book changed my life - honestly. Reading this book for the first time, I realized that popular novels could also have religious themes. I'm not sure why I didn't "get" that before, but this was the book when I realized, "Hey, I could do that." The story is engrossing and full of well-drawn characters, horrifying situtions and very high stakes. It's one of King's most spiritual novels.

My second Stephen King book!

The first half of this book is SO GOOD and it’s the reason why I’m giving it 3 stars.

However after the midway point it just gets... boring. The young boy seems to just be able to solve any issue by praying which isn’t very thrilling/exciting to me.

I just don’t want to spend any more time reading the rest of this book. I ended up just googling the ending and I wasn’t amazed by it.
