I don’t have much to say about this book. I barely remember what I read and I just finished it. I was excited to read a book from this author but this left me disappointed. For the majority of the book I didn’t know what was happening and I didn’t really care enough to try and figure it out.
3.5! love babitz’s writing but honestly there needed to be more sex and rage in this book given the title!

not sure if it was just me but it struggled to hold my attention more than a few pages at a time. easy enough read to finish, though. title and teaser are a bit misleading. would much rather read a bret easton ellis if i'm diving into "la lit."
I literally hated this book I don’t even really know why

It turns out that I am, indeed, Jacaranda!
I fully believe I picked this book up at the exact right time. I loved witnessing Jacaranda’s journey through life and it felt as though I was reading a book about my own current state of life.
Great reflective read.

Beautiful writing (typical for Eve Babitz), but I felt that the story dragged on in places.
