This book almost as good as it can get. My biggest complaint is rather minor, but I felt as if the foreshadowing parts of the story were either too forthcoming, or the plot just wasn't complex enough to create a big enough mystery. I thought it was pretty obvious what the suspenseful mystery would end up being after the few hints dropped early in the novel. So any thrill and excitement from that conflict fell a bit short for me, which was disappointing.
At first, I was a little fuzzy on remembering who the main characters were, but it didn't take long to recognize them. Roxy has worked at the bar Mona's for a while, and was always seen being mad at Reece, the cop that would come and hang out regularly. This book really opened up the door to their history and their future. Roxy has had a crush on Reece since she was 15, and they were both still in high school. He's lived next door to her their whole life, so she knows him and his family pretty well, and vice versa. Their age difference separated them for a while when she was still in high school, but he had graduated and moved on to the military. When he came back, it started a new start for their relationship. Roxy was the first person he sought out upon his return, and they started a friendship that lasted for years. Troubles from his police job led to some hard times, that ended up with him getting black-out drunk one night, the same night Roxy is around that they start to hook-up. He passes out before anything happens, but wakes up assuming the worst. She fails to divulge the truth and they spend the next 11 months avoiding each other, more or less.
So when this book picks up, Roxy is visiting her best friend in assisted living facility. Reece shows up and wants to be the first to tell her that the guy that threw the rock at her best friend is getting out of prison and will be wanting to make amends. Roxy has never really processed what happened to Charlie six years ago, and thus only sees red when it comes to his attacker. She feels helpless that she can't do more in the situation, and Reece is there for her as she struggles with her emotions. At this time, Reece also starts the process of rebooting their friendship and trying to move past that fateful night almost a year ago. However, Roxy has to work up the nerve to tell him the truth, but she's scared, knowing that lies are something Reece absolutely despises. And with all that going on, she starts noticing weird things happening in her house, that make her feel crazy and that there's a ghost in her place, to being scared that she's got a stalker. T
There's a lot of tension and suspense on many fronts throughout this book, and it helps create a full story that runs through a gamut of emotions. Pretty much every emotion seemed to be expressed in this book, and the writing well done enough that it transferred to my emotions easily. I felt really connected to the characters and invested in their lives.
As I mentioned earlier, I just didn't love all the foreshadowing in this story. I'm not convinced that the story needed as much foreshadowing as it had, but I can easily admit I'm not a writer, so I don't quite know if I can understand how the book would feel without it all. However, I do know as a reader, most of the mystery was taken out of this book, because the foreshadowing allowed me to guess what was going to happen from a pretty early point. I would've been fine if the mystery had held off for longer, like the middle of the book or later. But it was too easy to see the answers too soon in the plot.
I still really enjoyed this book though and I look forward to what will come next. It seemed that the author was setting up the other bartender at Mona's for his adventure at romance. The friendly stripper that frequents the bar, who has psychic powers, foretold Nick that the love of his life was going to walk into the bar the last night depicted in this story. And low and behold it seems that woman will be Stephanie, a girl that helped to save Teresa way back in book two or three, by being her mysterious neighbor. Stephanie always seemed weird and way underdeveloped, and now I guess this is why, since the author wanted to bring her in as a heroine. I don't have much of a clue of what their story with revolve around, not knowing much about the heroine. But, Nick has been depicted as a nice friend, if not quiet, or at least not forthcoming. And he's also known for only seeing a girl once to hookup. Not just hook-up once, but see once. That should provide for some angst, and with this author's talent I'm sure there'll be some suspense to accompany the romance as well.

“This was like flying and and drowning all at once, like wrapping yourself in your favorite sweater and running naked through a sprinkler. It was a thousand conflicting emotions all rolled into a ball. I loved Reece.”
Roxy has been in love with Reece since she was 15 years old and his family moved in next door to hers. They were friends for years until one night when Reece was too drunk and they have a one night stand, or at least that’s what Reece thinks. When he wakes up the next morning expressing regret, Roxy was so hurt that she couldn’t be around him, and she ends up never telling him what really happened that night. Almost a year later Reece has had enough of Roxy avoiding him and has decided that he’s not going to let her do that anymore. As they begin the journey on their relationship there is someone that has been attacking women in the surrounding counties and now Roxy has had some odd occurrences at her apartment. When she wakes up one night to find a picture on her phone of herself sleeping she knows that someone has been in her apartment, and realizes that it’s not the first time. To add to all of this, her best friend that has been in a facility due to brain damage from incident years ago is not doing well, and Roxy is dealing with her guilt of what happened the night he was injured. Is Roxy the latest target of the person attacking girls? And will she be able to get past the guilt she feels to allow herself to really live?
How do you know that you really love a character from a book? You name a pet after them. And I love Roxy’s character so much that I named my dog after her. Roxy is feisty, lovable, and loyal, not to mention funny and artistic. The only thing is that she is carrying some major guilt over what happened to her friend Charlie. That guilt has caused her to feel like she should never be able to have the future that she wants or the love of the man that she has been in love with for years. She even tries to push Reece away at one point, he just won’t let her. I was so happy when she finally made the decision to let go of all of the hate and guilt and let herself be happy.
Speaking of Reece, boy oh boy, do I love this guy. He probably ties for second place with Cam in the order of my favorite guys from this series. Sorry, but Jax will never be dethroned from that spot. Reece has had his fair share of trauma and has fought his way back from it, which just makes me love him even more. I also love that he refuses to let Roxy run or push him away. He knows exactly what she’s doing and why and makes her confront that, even though she doesn’t want to. I love how the guys in this series, for the most part, push (in a good way) the girls to face their past, their traumas, and their insecurities and it enables the girls to move past those things.
Fall With Me is an amazing book full of romance, drama, and suspense. I loved every minute of it, especially seeing former characters, loved the cameo by Jacob, and as always Katie stole the spotlight in any scene that she was in. It’s easy to see why this is one of favorite romance series and why I enjoy rereading it so much. As always with one of Jen’s books, I was drawn in from the beginning and couldn’t put the book down until I was finished.
“I’m scared too. And there are times I question what I deserve, but we’re in this together. So fall with me. Let yourself go and fall with me, and baby, I will catch you. I will get you through this. You just got to take that risk.”

Reece + Roxy = ⚡️
An MC who wears glasses and shirts with nerdy sayings?
Btw, if Fall With Me were made into a movie, I vote Zoey D play the part of Roxy. And Theo James could play the part of Reece. I know, I know, he was the inspiration for Jax in Stay With Me, but let's be honest. Theo could be cast as all the heroes in all of the Wait For You series book-to-screen adaptations, I wouldn't mind.
I love all of JLA's stories but this one---well, this one kind of freaked me out a little. In fact, the following gifs represent my reaction while reading...
Yeah, okay, I'll just be over here in my safe place---hiding.

As with the other books in this series, I enjoyed the characters, fast pace, the relationships forged and of course the romance, but what really stood out was the creep factor. The stalker element kicked this up a notch from romantic suspense to "sleep with the lights on". On more than one occasion, I found myself wanting to cover my eyes and read through my fingers. There may have also been some yelling at the characters too.
Maybe.
Read it.

Another brilliant book by JLA. This one really cuts you deep. Jennifer is definitely not afraid to make her readers feel. And boy does she make you feel. You'll go through every single emotion in this one but be sure to have tissues ready because she'll have you sobbing your heart out.
Fall With Me is the fourth book in the Wait For You series and I just loved getting to reenter this world with these great characters. This book features Roxy and Reece who we previously met in Stay With Me. I am just so glad that they got their own story and we finally get to find out what the deal is with them. I just had so much fun reading this story and it just had my emotions all over the place. I just couldn’t put it down and I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.
Review originally published at Love Literature Art and Reason
Fall With Me was a cute contemporary romance with a quirky main character you can't help but love. It was a second chance romance, which I typically enjoy because it takes the whole meet, lock eyes, and cue the insta-lust issue out of romance. I love love-at-first-sight, but in NA and adult romance, it's usually too much and too lusty. Roxy and Reece knew each other, had a one night stand eleven months earlier, and Roxy had pretty much been avoiding him every since because she felt pretty strongly about him and he seemed to be all regretful.
Fall With Me had light characters and a nice romance, but it also contained some serious things. Roxy's best friend was in a long term care facility after he was violently attacked as a result of his sexual orientation. Roxy also received threats and was being messed with in odd ways, which added a little bit of mystery/crime to the plot.
I enjoyed the book a lot, as I typically do with all of the author's books. There's something about the way she writes that makes it so much fun to read and I'm able to finish her books quickly. The mystery was easy to figure out and I would have been disappointed had that been the main plot, but it wasn't, so I can ignore the fact that was obvious.
I liked watching Roxy grow, see how her relationship with Reece would form, and see her realize that not all things are black and white. The hatred she had for her friend's attacker was counterproductive and I liked seeing her sort of realize that and be able to rise above it.
I definitely recommend the book to any fans of light contemporary New Adult romance. She's definitely by go to author for when I'm in the mood for it.

I didn't love this book, which was really disappointing for me.
Similarly to Reese, I value honesty and Roxy's actions made it hard to like her as a main character.
But the side plot? That's where this book goes from barely 3 stars to 4. Because the character development is STRONG.
So while this isn't my favorite book in the series, it's still an enjoyable read and I do love all the previous characters in the Wait for You series who make a cameo in this one.
