Another fantastical story about Olivia, though I feel like it was a bit messy with how the story progressed. Like I was reading not one story, but multiple stories.

I really like Olivia, though she really is a bit spoiled and a bit too much at times.

But all in all, I am happy I read the book. I loved the illustrations, very simple but very pretty.

I will be sure to check my library if they have other Olivia books, since I still need to read a few books.

Totally admit I’m not the audience for this series, but they do fill in spots in my Readathon

This one feels unfinished. Also, poor unappreciated mommy!

I can't help but love Olivia and this outing is a classic. I can't wait to use it in storytime. If you've ever had your favorite toy (or pair of shoes) destroyed by your pet, you can relate to this charming tale of loss and forgiveness.

I would probably rate this a 4 if it were only up to me...but my son LOVES this book, so have to give it a 5 for him. The first half seems a little unrelated to the second half of the book. Other than that it is cute.

Let's get this straight: Olivia is not a role model for your kid. She's impatient, oblivious and accusatory: perhaps what non-kid people like what imagine kids to be like.

With that out of the way .... these are fun little books that do seem to find the perfect pace for storytelling to children. Sulidae, my daughter, loves this one the best because it features a dog (spoiler alert!), and includes the babyspeak phrase "wooshee gaga", which is apparently comic gold to a two year old.

While I was quite enchanted with the first [b:Olivia|770051|Olivia|Ian Falconer|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1349034348s/770051.jpg|2484218] (even if I suspect it may be written for parents, sometimes more than children), I didn't like this book half as much. I still liked the graphical illustrations, and I guess that's mostly what these books are about anyway, but I'm not so sure if kids care all that much for them, and then, the story was just too disjointed, nonsensical. Like, what was the point with the red soccer jersey? All in all, the story felt like two, three disparate jokes thrown into to the cool design of [a:Falconer's|27861|Ian Falconer|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1197074556p2/27861.jpg] Olivia books.

I love Olivia stories but though I enjoyed the pictures and how the colors emphasized different aspects of the story, I was not as happy with the text. It seemed disjointed somehow.
