As a first introduction to the High Republic, I can see why this would be a bit confusing for some people, but I simply had so much fun! Listening to the audiobook was the best way of consuming this story—I felt like I was watching Star Wars whilst doing my little puzzle.
I'd also like to say that Avar Kriss and Elzar Mann have me in a chokehold:)

I thought this book was really great! A good introduction to the High Republic. The way the force is portrayed is beautiful. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens in future books!

Lovable characters though there are many so they are hard to keep track of, great storytelling as the plot falls into place. Unexpected twists that fed into the excitement, Avar Kriss, Loden Greatstorm, Bell Zettifar are wonderfully written and memorable. As well as the Nihil are interesting, each important character is well written. Not extremely fast paced and difficult to discern characters in the beginning.
