This would make a good beach vacation read. It was a bit repetitive in some areas, and I definitely rolled my eyes a few times, but the fake marriage trope was a new "genre" for me.

Slowly making my way through Lauren’s backlog and this audiobook is one of my favorites! A funny marriage of convenience with plenty of angst and spice and the MMC falls first! Another reason why Vanessa Edwin and Shane East are two of my fav narrators!

Cute, easy read! Fun rom-com, despite the slightly cringey title ;)

It was a quaint story, but nothing I'll remember. If you like cute, safe stories, you'll like this. If you like more drama and angst, look elsewhere.

Lauren Blakely always delivers when I want a sweet romance story with just the right amount of angst and turn of event balanced by the sweetness of new love. You can always count on her to give you a happy ending that leaves you with all the warm fuzzies. The perfect listen while making the school run, well with headphones on.

Can I tell you a single thing that happened in this book? Nope. But I can tell you that the spice was gooooodddd and being narrated by Shane East makes it even better

Part-Time Lover has been one of my anticipated reads and I’m so happy to report it was a good one! Christian and Elise meet in an unusual set of circumstances and it was one for the books. In all the books that I have read their meeting takes the cake. Hand down. Sadly things didn’t work out as planned and they aren’t reintroduced to each other until a year later. Once this happened it was all systems go!!

Christian and Elise are both like minded and what starts out as a “no expectation” deal turns into something more. This was such a delicious slow burn and I loved how open and honest the characters were with each other. I loved the banter between the characters as well. Elise was a spitfire and I loved how she was able to hang with Christian.

Honestly, it’s been a few months since I’ve read a Lauren Blakely book and I’ve fallen in love all over again with this author’s words. Blakely’s description to detail is amazing. I felt like I was in Paris and at all of the places she described. This was a very well written book about taking a chance on love again after being burned at the stake. I highly recommend this book by Lauren Blakely.

3.5 stars. This was cute but not as engaging as Wanderlust was, I think. There were parts that kept my attention but there were also parts I was easily distracted away from.
