I haven’t read an actual physical book in years. I started reading this book right before bed to help ease me into sleep. I only got to page 50 before sleep came. HOWEVER, before sleep took me, I went on Amazon to order the rest of the series. Love the world building, love the characters, love Holly’s writing style. * chef’s kiss * Holly Renee is absolutely going on my auto-buy list. I finished this book in less than a day after being audiobook only for years.

So, this is an excellent story and the spice is even better. I flew through this book and enjoyed it despite regular grammatical errors, which is normally an absolute no for me. I found myself constantly correcting the sentences as I was reading and did find myself frustrated with that. if this book had better editors, it would be a five star read for me.

sooooo i dont really know how i feel about this book?? On one hand. I lovedddddd Evren, the world and magic system were pretty easy to understand, Adara wasnt annoying like a lot of fmc are, and the spice was v v nice. ON THE OTHER HAND…. the passing of the book was so wack??? I feel like if this book was longer and the story wasnt as rushed it could have been really good. The “plot twist” wasnt really a plot twist. When I was reading the end, I didn’t even realize it was suppose to be a plot twist because they heavilyyyyy hinted at it in the beginning of the book. I hated the instalove. I will say that the second half of the book was much better than the first half but im still not a huge fan. Will I still be reading the next one tho? Yes definitely.

Overall, its just nothing new. This books feels like a copy and paste of a lot of other stories I have read.

I wanted this to be good but what was the plot? The ending also? It made no sense whatsoever. The smut was something, I felt as though I was reading 2018 Wattpad, “nub” and “sex, maybe I’m immature but I couldn’t take that seriously.

Smut us on point

Everything else is so bad it's semi descent.
There's no actual conversations between characters, plot holes size of Texas, the writing and character development are horrible. The Plot is basically fill in the blank outline throughout the story.
But the spice is sooo good, and so is the narration.

Although the plot line wasn't fleshed out very well, the romance made it all worth it.
