I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I love fake dating and I love celebrity romance, and this combines the two! Avery is optimistic and opening her dream restaurant, and Holly is a burnt out celebrity chef who is losing popularity.

I enjoyed both characters, individually and together. They balanced each other well, and I was nice to read their story and see them grow together.

Tay was a good secondary character, and Mike was a decent villain! Seabrooke brings a lot of fun to her characters, and Fake It is no different.

Check it out! And her other books!

Fake It is a new and different lesbian romance. As one character is trans, the dynamic of the couple is an obvious different one, but refreshing. The character growth and depth were very well written. The minor characters were also well written and made me feel the love or hate they were written for. The setting of food industry world is a rare one in LGBT romance novels and definitely one of my favorite plot settings. The romance side of the story was one I couldn't put down and loved the different stages of their story.
Those who like women loving women, wlw, stories will definitely like this. I would definitely recommend this book to who like cooking settings and/or lesbian fiction with drama.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Amazing

I’m honestly speechless. This story was the cutest and most heartwarming thing ever. I wasn’t sure at first with the fake it shtick because Id read a good amount with that theme and while they were all good, sometimes it just felt off. Not with this story.

Holly and Avery both had such great chemistry together and were each truly unique. It was lovely to see the growth of both women and how the story unfolded.

I loved every person in the story besides the obvious lol. Honestly this is the best book I’ve read in months. I had a smile through most of it. I can’t wait for what Lily as in store for us next!

A lovely take on the celebrity fauxmance trope.
Having a trans lead who is just being her awesome self, rather than Avery is a delightful lead
