I really like Kojiro

Okay , the art is amazing , the action sequences... insanely good, the point of these scenes ... Very little

I get what the author wants us to understand, he is generating our interest and empathy for Kojima , but we've been doing the same for like last 10 volumes.  Its tiring and action scenes are starting to feel repetitive. All the battles seem pountless as well

This clearly isn't Vagabond at its best. The only thing remarkable at this point is the art style, which as always is outstanding, but this whole part of the story was weak. Thankfully it's come to an end and Mushashi is coming back in the next volume.

It can honestly only get better from this low-point. But I'm going to take a break from the manga anyway.

This volume marks the end of the Kojiro arc. So far, this arc is favourite arc of the whole manga. The beginning with Jisai is taken at a slow pace and doesn't use too much action which it doesn't need. The second part with Itosai with Kojiro as a young adult is similar to Musashi. Speaking of Musashi, he is not the primary focus in this arc as it is primarily set before the first chapter. However, in chapter 162 Kojiro and Musashi meet in what is my favourite chapter so far. The action in this arc is the best in the magna so far, and so are the side characters. Overall this manga just keeps getting better than better and I  can't wait to read the next arc.
