It was okay. I do appreciate how much the author researched for this book. But it was just okay to me. Will I read the next book? Maybe, if I just want a quick read book

Didn’t have many expectations for this book but ended up devouring it. A nice twist to the whole cop/ serial killer duo
Loved that we had so many chapters in Kallum’s POV however, it felt like we are still missing some pieces of info and backstory on this character

I’m giving this a 2 because the spice was well written. That’s the only part of this book that was well written.
The rest was convoluted and felt like something a young teen would write thinking they needed to use a ton of descriptive words to paint a picture.
The overall idea was good, but the execution was not.

Needed a palate cleanser… this helped. Way different than what I usually read. More so crime, dark thriller with a bit of dark romance in there …. I liked it. Still haven’t been able to figure out what fully happened and it left on a cliffhanger soooo

I was gonna give this book two stars but I literally don’t like anything about this book so I downgraded.

I wanted a dark romance and I got a boring, long ass philosophy lesson that didn’t make any sense.

I hated the writing soo much. This book was so long but the words literally meant nothing. The book was trying so hard to sound smart but it was just contrived.

I was intrigued by Kallum in the beginning but he became annoying as the book went on. He is described as this “evil man” but we don’t know why he does the things he does or if he is actually a sociopath or just misunderstood or anything. He was a shallow character. Same with the female MC. I was interested in her backstory but then a plot twist happened and now I don’t understand her character either.

The romance was so bad if you can even call it that. I liked their dynamic in the beginning but we got more lessons on philosophy then actual romance. There was no depth to their feelings at all and it seems they just wanted to fuck each other.

The ending of this book once again left me confused and I obviously won’t be continuing.
