Briar is on her last string. Her abusive husband has found her and made it clear the next time he sees her, she won't be surviving.
Sol is a dragon man and Chief of his territory.
To escape her husband and hopefully save her life, she signs a deal with a demon. 7 years and then she is free to return to her life in her world.
When Sol bids on her, they have to get married so that if any children are conceived during their time together, they will legally be Sols as well as Briars.

Can they work things out? Will they fall in love? Will Briar leave at the end of her 7 years?

This was a super steamy story with fun side characters and strong main characters. I really enjoyed this story and it was a quick read.

In depth world where we quickly attach to the struggles of the FMC and go along for the ride as the MMC does everything he can to woe her and save his people.

This was certainly an interesting read. I’ll be honest, this was a total cover buy. This cover is fantastic and I love that it’s a bit of a throw back to older romance covers. Also! It’s got a dragon on the cover!! It’s just such a vibe and honestly? It was a pretty fun read too.

I loved that this didn’t hold back, it was just full tilt weird and wild. But I also liked that Briar was able to find herself and that she had the space to be able to work through her past abusive relationship. And I loved that Sol was cognizant of that and gave her the space she needed. It was nice.

Overall, this was a really good monster romance. I definitely want to read more in this series and see more of this really cool world/universe. The Dragon’s Bride is getting a four out of five stars from me.

I think monster romances aren't necessarily for me. I certainly didn't hate this story -- the characters were cool and I actually really liked the dynamic between the two love interests, and the sex scenes generally were spicy and fun -- but man, the dragon-man thing really would pull me out of it - haha! It just distracts me, I guess.

I did enjoy the element of the heroine healing from an abusive, traumatic relationship -- I can unfortunately personally relate to that, and to the wild notion of being able to truly, genuinely feel safe with a man and being shocked to feel that way. But since it was a novella, that element wasn't explored quite deeply enough to be super profound, for me personally.

A fairly quick read. Im not really what I'd call a seasoned monsterfucker so I did find the physical differences challenging. I also at times found myself slightly confused by what was meant in certain passages due to the way it was written. Otherwise a pretty cruisy read.
