This book made me feel things... I was not expecting such depth from a monster romance.

I mean, hard to rate a book about a human having sex with a dragon 😅. But I do like the point that men can be way worse. I was thoroughly entertained by the smutty romance. There’s no plot, there’s no deeper meaning here. Just a woman really enjoying having sex with a dragon man. Met all my expectations

This was really good honestly. The writing was good especially during certain times 😉. It was a little short for me because I wanted more interactions with them. I did like how she started to deal with her trauma and I thought it was well done. I do have to say I’m not a big fan of the monster romance but he was more humanoid so it wasn’t that off putting. I also loved how there was an asexual character as well as nonbinary characters.

Free of unnecessary drama. There is a little. It doesn't drag out though, which is nice. There isn't much substance to the story, but there are some parts of the characters that are relatable. They are also likeable and sweet.

I thought I’d try out a monster romance since I know so many people enjoy them but damn, it’s just not for me. Katee Robert knows how to write sexy but I found myself switching between laughing at how silly it was and being grossed out because I’m not into breeding kinks. Maybe I’ll try another in the future I’ll try a different monster romance just to be sure.

Briar begins the story with bruises after being attacked by her husband when she tried to leave him. Additionally she in minorly injured when she is penetrated by Sol’s big dragon dicks.

 
Domestic/emotional/physical abuse (off page):

Briar makes a deal with a demon to get her away from her abusive husband. These abuses are off page but are discussed given the nature of her demon deal. 

 
Pregnancy (on page discussion):

Discussion of becoming pregnant and what would happen to the hypothetical child. Breeding kink.

Can't wait to dive into the others
But dragons are my fav so who knows if I'll like the other creatures more than Sol tbh

Classic Katee Roberts- incredibly sexy and bold with a healthy dose of communication and boundaries. Only this time with a demon dragon.
