I keep returning to this review because I feel like adding one more star every time I think back on this book. It was a wholesome, heartwarming, thoughtful story of an unlikely couple, featuring heckton of spice, outstanding resolution and trope handling, trauma included.

I will forever chase the feelings this book evoked in me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Well, again here I am with a book that im honestly really surprised I ended up enjoying.

I felt like this was a beauty and the beast sort of romance, quite literally. We have him, Sol, being a literal dragon and all and her being named Briair Rose gave it a fairytale vibe. Even the fucking castle they live in. But like, that's where the fairytale comparison ends.

The book description is accurate as to what it is about, Briar signs a contract with a demon which says she must stay in Sol's realm for 7 years and maybe have his kid. If he does anything to harm her, his kingdom gets taken over by the demons.

Briar had a difficult relationship before she found her dragon prince, so she struggles to open up to him, both physical and sexually. But once she does, wow.

It seems like they are just non-stop fucking at thay point. HOWEVER he has two dicks, yes two, and there is NOT ONE SCENE that has dp. I thought that there would for sure be dp before the end of the book, because there was so many opportunities to do do. He fucked her unconscious, fucked her ass with his tail, and finger fucked his cum back into her but dp was too much? Smh. The breeding kink thing throughout the book was like always present (so if you don't like that this book is definitely not for you) and it was always a "will they won't they" situation. I understand that there were a lot of things that Briar had going on but at the same time I just wanted to scream BREED HER ALREADY.

I did like that Sol was like obsessed with her though. He was always like "let me carry you, feed you, bathe you, etc. You're perfect Briar, even if you have trauma you're a survivor and I love you." Honestly added a lot to the romance, but was also very very sugary sweet. It was weird to picture coming from a dragon man with two dicks and a mating frenzy to deal with.

I've done it. I've girl-bossed too close to the sun in my smutty book exploration. Did I enjoy it? I don't know. I was disturbed. But intrigued. But cringed. A lot. But also, he was so sweet? But then very much not so, also. Um. Well. It has been read, and perhaps the open-ended question of what is Azazel doing and the introduction of Eve (???) might be enough to bring me back for book two.
