An overall good read that I finished rather quickly: simple, straight to the point. Personnally, I quite enjoyed the Male Lead and the way he approaches his romance with the heroine. The relationship is sweet and romantic with some "spicy" scenes (rather tame for me, but for some, it might be enough).
The s*x scenes were well written and did not make me wanna wash my eyes with bleach. I recommend this novel for you, if you want some plot as well as some spice !

Might read the following novel soon enough !

Despite two stars, I enjoyed this book. The author lists the tropes and Content Warnings at the beginning, which I loved because it meant nothing unexpected. Honestly read a bit like a fanfic because of that though (not that that's a bad thing!)

Super simple story, a bit too short and I was a little disappointed in the bedroom scenes. The main characters was a bit quick to jump into this relationship which I found a bit unrealistic given her history, but also she married a dragon so who cares.

Fun read, check the warnings!

First of all, just LOOK at that cover. I don't normally comment on covers but this one is just stunning. Fits the vibes of the book perfectly and is a great homage to the old illustrated clinch covers of the past. I want more covers like this!!

This was a surprisingly sweet and emotional romance, considering it's about a human woman who gets auctioned off to a dragon with two cocks. No plot, just sexy marriage of convenience vibes.

‘The Dragon’s Bride’ by Katee Robert is a short fantasy romance novel that is fun in parts but that I ultimately found underdeveloped.
Stalked by her abusive husband, Briar makes a deal with a demon to live seven years in a fantasy world in exchange for her husband’s death. In the fantasy world, she is auctioned off to Sol, a dragon, who will have the entirety of the seven years to seduce her. Scared but intrigued by Sol’s life and the gentle way that he regards her, Briar quickly begins to feel more for him.
Given the short nature of this novel, it’s understandable that the romance moves quickly. I think that Katee Roberts did a good job of exploring why Briar is quicker to jump into this relationship though I was surprised with some of the directions that this went in considering the history she had with an abusive husband. I did wish for more characterization for Briar. We get more of Sol’s backstory and his personality. Briar seems to be defined by her past abuse and we know very little about her other than that. I wish that Roberts had spent a little more time fleshing her out, even with small glimpses of a bigger picture like we got with Sol. I’ll be interested to read the next book in this series but this is mostly erotica with minimal story so keep that in mind before picking it up.

This is a quick fun read.  I am really enjoying monster romances. Sol makes a bargain with the demon to try to find a human bride to give him a child.

Briar makes a deal with the demon for 7 years in an effort to get away from an abusive partner

This book is spicy and Sol is a dirty talker.

Did I expect there to be wholesome things in between dragons? No. But it was strangely wholesome.

I think my issue with Katee Robert is the fact everything ends so freaking abruptly. We finally got to a good point with a relationship and then it was two chapters before it was over. It was like she realized she didn't want to finish out the third arch of the plot.

I did really like Sol and Briar. I want to read the rest of the books, but wow, I'm salty it just ends without a better resolution for the pair of them.

Spoilers below:

Throwing in Azazel at the end seemed like such an after thought, especially mentioning Eve. It felt like it was trying to set something up when it was far better handled when there was a softer touch to everything. I think 30 more pages could have made this a 5 star read for me an actually been a satisfyin  end with a promising start to a fun series.
