This book fell pretty flat for me. Do I have too-high expectations of a monsterfucking romance? Maybe. But the characterisation felt all over the place, some of the conversations were just completely nonsensical, and the smut scenes weren’t even that great imo. The shock factor of Sol’s anatomy seemed to be doing most of the heavy lifting here. I don’t think I’ll be continuing with the series unless I’m desperate for a quick palette cleanser

I'm reading the next book for sure. I love the premise of the series and can't wait to see the political intrigue that is probably going to be mostly in the last book with Eve.

Super cute, super fast, super intriguing premise.

I think I would have appreciated a little more world-building, but I'm sure I'll find out everything I need to know with the next novella!
