Milo and Gideon have some of the sweetest and most heartwarming moments that absolutely melted my heart. They are opposites who couldn't be more different, but the are surprisingly compatible. They both have an instant understanding of how the other communicates, which only grows and intensifies their feelings for one another.

Milo is blunt, rigidly organized person with a strong determination streak. Milo is one of the most unique characters I have ever encountered and I was blissfully surprised at the depth of his feelings despite his own communication style shortcomings.

Gideon on the other hand has a more chill relaxed attitude and openness to others. They are the perfect pair and watching their friendship blossom and grow into such an earnest love is so sickly beautiful that it left me swooning.

This is one of the sweetest romances I have ever read. Milo and Gideon are adorably cute. Loved this story so much!!!

This booknis good and cute and adorable. I don't get the hype around it. Yes it one you feel like you can just curl up and relax with but I didn't find this book to be so amazing as everyone has talked about. The story between Milo and Gideon is sweet. I feel like there could have been a lot more though. It's an easy read. It is also a good one to read after a heavy book. Very light hearted and not much conflict.

I loved these characters so much. And the way Milo’s autism was handled.

5⭐️
That was a GREAT BOOK!! I teared up. Literally so good.
Low-stakes, small town, opposites attract, fantastic autism representation, friends to lovers, SWEETNESS. These two are PRECIOUS and so relatable.

Milo inherits a building from a grandma he didn’t know he had, on an island far from home. The little bookstore is a plus, but maybe not as great as “Tattoo Guy” or Gideon, who rents space in the building for his tattoo shop.

Milo is one of the best characters I’ve read in a long time. He’s nuanced, he’s consistent, he’s funny as hell, he’s relatable, and he’s so unapologetically him. The author does a great job of representing his autism, while not making his whole personality based on his diagnosis. He’s absolutely delightful.

Gideon is also completely lovable. It would be so easy for him to be overshadowed by Milo’s character, but no. He’s so thoughtful, but he’s also human. His insecurities are so relatable. The side characters are also PERFECT. They’re impactful, but don’t take over the story. So well done.

The plot is low stakes and honestly just chill, navigating relationships stuff. But it works so well. I can’t believe this book was almost 400 pages because it felt like it was over so fast. Truly though, it was the perfect length.

I can’t even think of anything that I can critique. It was that good. One of the best contemporary romances I’ve read ever. ❤️
