Such a great story and HEA for Milo and Gideon. I love a neurodivergent MC and Gideon's instant understanding and acceptance of Milo. Great story and highly recommend.
This was the perfect lighthearted read! It’s going on my comfort reads list for sure. I adore Milo & Gideon both together & apart. The neurodivergent rep is 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻. These two fit perfectly and I love love loved this!

Cute, low angst, happy ending.
I enjoyed this book despite having blatant misconceptions with autism.
Apparently the author corrected the first edition to change neurodivergent and quirky to include autistic, which is a step in the right direction. However, the representation read more like autism is something you can recover from with the right person.
High-functioning autism looks different, but I understand that the author tried to make it work for a romance book.
The story was cute. The characters flat. The ending satisfactory.

“When you feel like you don’t fit, just know you fit with me.”
Oh man. I have a few mixed feelings about this book. I’ve thought about it a lot, because I strive to be kind, honest, and concise.
I enjoyed it. I did. Milo and Gideon were absolutely “bestie goals” (IYKYK). I loved their friendship and how it morphed into friends with benefits and then eventually more. It felt very organic. And I loved that Gideon just accepted Milo’s neurodivergence wholeheartedly. He intuitively knew how to be there for him and not be overbearing and if he didn’t- Milo told him. And he changed. It was really lovely. Their communication was top notch!
I loved the steamy. It was spicy and first times and all those things are my faves.
My only… I hate to say frustration but, the way Milo was written… I LOVED his character… but it almost felt… uncomfortable. I think. I think I need to stick to reading ownvoices portrayals of living with autism. There was just something here that I cannot put my finger on but that struck me wrong. It was obvious the author talked with autistic people and a lot of the insight we get into Milo’s brain were wonderful and honest (explanations) representations… but Milo himself... I struggled. He seemed almost like a caricature of a human being at points and while he was adorable, I did not love that.

This book is so damn good!!! I absolutely loved it and it was so beautifully written! Milo was his own special brand of awesome and I completely adored him, but Gideon was also incredibly awesome. Really, every character was wonderful.
It was refreshing to read something that didn’t have toxic family, or a spiteful ex, and yet this wasn’t an over the top too sweet Hallmarky fluff story (those usually bore me quickly). Very well done and this just made me happy! Thank you Riley Hart for putting a smile on my face. (And I happened to read this on my birthday and it was a perfect gift)!

Milo, 24, accountant, neurodivergent, inherits grandmother’s house with a bookshop and tattoo parlor, moves from California to reopen bookshop, virgin, vers on page.
Gideon, 26, tattoo artist, works in Milo’s tattoo parlor, vers on page.
Set on an Island in Maine, USA
I love this book so much!
The only thing I can critique is that Gideon was too perfect. And I’m not sure if that is a valid point to criticize.
Milo is an amazing character. I think the author did a great job in bringing him and his neurodivergence on page.
He is very aware that the way he is isn’t “normal”, but he still is unapologetically himself. He is honest in everything and simply says whatever comes to his mind without a filter.
It makes him really lovable but can also be quite irritating.
He grows a lot in the book.
From being sheltered and basically glued to his mother, he went out of her comfort zone and did something for himself. She wanted to protect him, and maybe herself, but he showed her that he can and wants to be on his own.
It was also really great that he isn’t just a nerdy accountant. He’s also a skilled handyman and renovated the bookshop himself, as well as did some repairs for other people.
As I said, Gideon was nearly too perfect. He embraced Milo completely. He took care of him and fused himself around his needs.
I think he is simply someone who needs to love and to be loved. He fell deeply very fast and even though he got hurt in the past because of the non-commitment of his past partners, he let Milo set the pace and the definition of their relationship.
The time he fucked up was actually because he wanted to protect Milo too much.
I expected some trouble with Gideon’s best friend and ex lover but fortunately it didn’t happen.
