A child is adopted from Asia as a toddler. He sees pictures of his home and parents before being flown to America to live with them permanently.

I liked how the author showed that the child was afraid but was soothed by the efforts his parents made to introduce him to the home beforehand. The speedy transition was probably not realistic but this book is a good way to show what a transracial adoption can look like and what emotions are involved for everyone.
