It took 6 months to get this on other from my local chic book shop but it was worth it. My only complaint is that i wish it was longer.

Spider-Man: Life Story is a decent read but I feel the best attribute is simply the concept itself. Due to the fast pace of the book, the story choices can seem random and unexplored. But it’s full of everything you want from a Spider-Man story and all the attributes that are synonymous with the character.

With the exception of Tom Holland, stories centering around Peter Parker have never interested or impressed me. I read this strictly due to the realization that Chip Zdarsky is not only a talented artist, but also has writing chops. I went into it assuming it was a condensed telling of the major canonical events from his life. Instead, it seemed to be an alternate reality with both well-known 616 events and characters, but also some interesting twists. The decade-per-issue idea works well for the series, and notwithstanding some fuzzy sections pertaining to cloning, Zdarsky hits a home run.

As others have said, this book is largely depressing. But for some reason, I still liked it.

Spider-Man life story is a love letter to the spidey and his history, leading all the way back to 1962.
That much is obvious just from the nature of the story, but it’s so much more than a series of references. It’s a loving exploration of the characters, a retrospective of history and a hopeful glimpse into the future.

Amazing genuinely .
