An interesting start to the series. I like how much of the family dynamic is included in this first volume, and the meta-ness of having the mom being a shojo mangaka. I'm not a huge fan of the whole sibling who warns obvious-love-interest friend to not fall for his sister, but it's nice how supportive he is anyway. I hope it continues to balance the romance aspect with friendship and family themes going forward.
