I guess my expectations were way too high.
With a blurb about an undercover DEA agent in an MC one can be allowed to hope for a solid storyline with real angst pages (not the sort we got in the previous books) ...
Well no ... the whole bringing down the MC went away very fast. It all felt totally unrealistic, Thomas sounding more like a whining little boy than a tough DEA agent able to remain undercover as a rough biker who made it to the VP position in no time .
Usually the whiny character in romance books is the woman, well in this one it was the other way round : Roxy/Angel is a very tough and resilient woman and Thomas ... well you got my feeling.
But not only was the storyline poor, the same things were repeated again and again throughout : Thomas feeling dark because of everything he did within the MC and because of willingly, feeling he no longer was the man who had left his family ; Roxy/Angel repeating that Thomas was "the most amazing thing to have happened in her life" and feeling that she didn't deserve his "oh so wonderful" family ...
There was absolutely no character development.
Honestly this book could have been a novella : half of it just feels like fillers.

I listened to the audiobook and the narrators did a good job. I enjoyed the installment of Men of Inked series.
I can't figure out why I can't stop reading these books. In all honesty, they aren't even that great. But I like spice and its really low tension and even though it acts like the stakes are high, everything is resolved really quickly with like almost no buildup of tension. I think my stressy depressy brain just needed some quick and dirty smut and this filled that void. There's a lot of toxic masculinity up in this series and I definitely groaned about it a few times and just kept reading anyways.
I thought this was going to be my favorite of the series and I was wrong... By the time the book starts they are already together and we saw none of the fun parts of them finding and learning each other and so I just don't even understand how or why they love each other besides the fact that they tell us they do over and over. *shrugs*

This was another win in the Inked men series! Danger, intrigue, kidnapping, hot rough sex, and the awesome family love the Gallo's are known for. What more could you ask for?!

Thomas is finally getting out of the undercover work that has had him away from his family for around a year. Roxy was born into the MC but doesn't have any ties to them other than the person she thinks Thomas is.
This story is a great story of two people who are trying to reinvent themselves. The past does come to haunt them.

Ich liebe die Gallo Familie und ich habe mich schon sehnsüchtig auf den vierten Teil bzw. Thomas Geschichte gefreut. Chelle Bliss hat mich absolut süchtig nach dieser Familie gemacht. Das Cover ist wieder richtig toll gestaltet und es passt perfekt zu den Vorgängerbänden. Der Schreibstil von Chelle Bliss ist flüssig zu lesen, spannend und verdammt heiß. Das Buch lässt sich einfach so locker, leicht lesen, sodass man es nicht mehr aus der Hand legen kann. Innerhalb kürzester Zeit hatte ich das Buch beendet. Die Handlung ist gut durchdacht, spannend und durch gut platzierte Wendungen wird es zu keiner Zeit langweilig. „Uncover me“ ist die perfekte Mischung aus Biker Romanze, Undercover Liebe und Liebesroman. Obwohl es schon der vierte Band der Reihe ist, steht dieser den anderen Bänden in absolut nichts nach. Chelle Bliss schafft es einfach, dass einem beim Lesen nicht die Lust vergeht.
Die Gallo Familie kennen wir schon seit dem ersten Teil. Ich liebe das Familiäre, den Zusammenhalt und die Liebe in dieser Familie. Jeder einzelne der Brüder hat seine eigene Geschichte. In Band drei hat man schon einen kleinen Einblick in Thomas Geschichte bekommen. Diese wird in Band vier weitergeführt und man versteht manche Punkte jetzt viel besser. Thomas ist, wie seine Brüder, ein totaler Alpha-Mann. Seine Familie kommt für ihn immer an erste Stelle und als er Roxi kennenlernt zählt auch sie dazu. Seine innere Zerrissenheit rund um sein Geheimnis und wie er es ihr sagen soll, ist gut dargestellt und man hat es gut nachvollziehen können. Roxi scheint auf den ersten Blick etwas schüchtern, aber je besser man sie kennenlernt, desto mehr schließt man sie in ihr Herz. Die Geschichte der beiden ist herzzerreißend aber auch absolut toll. Ich liebe die beiden einfach zusammen.
