I really was expecting so much from this Christmas novella. I mean, did you read that synopsis? I just knew that I was going to get those enemies to lovers vibes along with all things Christmas. While I got all things Christmas, that was about it.
I didn’t really like Holly very much. She made a lot of assumptions about Nick and they were all about nothing serious at all. If this man did something small such as call his mom to tell her he loved her, I feel like she would make that into something terrible about him.
While it sounded like it would have been enemies to lovers, it really wasn’t. Nick never came off as rude or condescending. Just professional and to the point. The enemies standpoint was really on Holly’s side only. The sex scenes were good but the chemistry really wasn’t I thought it would be.
You are probably wondering what did I like. Well, everything else! I loved the town and the atmosphere of it. I loved that all of her sisters had Christmas themed names and their last name was Winter. Seriously, I could get lost in this fictional town alone.
All in all, I was disappointed by this, but I am willing to read the next book about Ginger. She seemed to have some common sense and I want to know what happens between her and a certain hot British baker.
This was a buddy read with Destiny over at Howling Libraries!

A cute holiday read following a workplace romance. I would have rated it higher had it not taken me so long to get through. Didn’t find myself invested in the characters or the story, and it wasn’t as “light and fluffy” as I’d hoped.

Cute little Christmas Story
This was just what I was looking for in a Christmas novell. Just enough sexy time, romance and even a little enemies to lovers action.

One of those books where you just want to slap the main character because her prejudiced opinions are the only reason the couple isn't together. Very enjoyable quick read

I thought this book had potential, but it just really fell short for me. I think if it would’ve been 100 pages longer I would’ve enjoyed it more. The story seemed rushed and nothing went into much detail. I know this is a novella, and I usually don't like them because I love the slow burn and tension between characters. There was some fun sexy moments and I really loved the male main character. I wish this would've been a full length novel because I probably would've fell in love with it!
It had a fun setting, a cool job for both characters, and loved the extra characters. But alas, I just needed more.

For such a short book it was so cute and had such a great story line! It had great banter and the writing made me laugh. Fun, cute, quick Christmas read!
