I didn’t feel particularly festive or invested in this book - perhaps if there were less cheesy, cringe-inducing festive references (ie. Be brave like Rudolph) we could have developed some kind of attachment to the characters or at least been made to feel something by the supposedly ‘home of Christmas’ in Germany. It

It's a quick and mostly entertaining read, but it suffers from how fast everything happens and there's little to no character development.

Nick and Holly. He runs the Flying Reindeer Toy Company and he's a Grinch. She works for the toy company and loves EVERYTHING about Christmas. Which means, Nick is the antithesis of Holly.

Nick suddenly needs Holly to accompany him on a business trip to Germany. He takes her to Nuremberg Christmas Market. and they have sex. He wants more, but she shuts everything down and they return home.

She realizes that she made a mistake. She tells him how she feels, and all is right in the world.

The End.

This novella was fun and sexy, and perfectly seasonal. I adored the heroine and the hero was pretty freaking swoony, too. My first Jana Aston book, if you can believe it. What have I been doing with my life?

Light Christmasy office romance. The h works for the H and thinks he’s a grinch. She’s a bit stubborn and I was frustrated with her, but she accepted she made assumptions about her boss and took steps to fix it. Lots of internal monologue, cool Christmas loving details, and a fun backdrop of them working at a toy company in a Christmas oriented town. Some steam and a bit of angst. The h’s sisters were funny side characters and the setup for the younger sister’s story was clear. Abrupt HFN ending but I expect these two are in the other books. I am curious about the other books in the series. Written in first person, single POV of h. No ow/om drama (both show slight jealousy over the other) and neither were virgins (but no history given).

Think The Hating Game, with copious amounts of Christmas!

Amazon declares it a 2 hour read, which proved to be true. And somehow Aston managed to fit everything, including a business trip to Germany, complete with Christmas market, in nicely.
