Me gustó más que el primero, tiene muchos giros que no esperaba, las escenas de batalla están bien narradas. Los últimos capítulos fueron emocionantes. Se notó el desarrollo de los personajes. Hubo más momentos entre Laurent y Damen ❤️.
Y ese final, omg. Necesito leer el que sigue.

honestly this was light years better than book 1.
now this is the usual fantasy book unlike my critics on the first book of this trilogy.
typical things happening, like fights, battles for castles, scheming politics. just very entertaining, words that would just not let you go to school or sleep. loved that about this.
damen's loyalty to laurent... just can someone please find me a man like that? and laurent? OH MY LAURENT! i love him. his character is deeper shown, his more emotional and caring side as well as what we're, as readers, seen in the previous book. oh and CHAPTER 19. YES. times 10. please.
(oh and the author might have thought they were sly with this but whoho you don't know that i suspect almost everything and i have my suspicions about little 13 year old laurent under his uncles rule in that palace)
and unfortunately onto book 3 (i WILL miss damen and laurent)...
