I don’t think I’ll ever find another enemies to lovers series that makes me feel the way this book made me feel

Reread after seven years to see how it holds up now that I have read significantly more within this genre (it was, like for so many others, the first traditionally published queer romantasy I got my hands on). And - it's still great! Yes some of the tropes are not my personal favourites, yes it shows its age at times, yes some things (like the sex scenes) are not as good as I remembered, but I still had so, so much fun with it. The Lymond-esque plot, the banter, the truly peak slow burn measured in perfect little drops - still a firm favourite with all its little imperfections.
