El slowburn me ha matado y algunos capítulos como el 6, el 7 o el 19!!!! los he disfrutado un montón. Los personajes por fin están tomando forma y la trama se está enrevesando de una forma que me gusta muchísimo y, por suerte, este es menos desagradable en algunos aspectos.
AUNQUE, había veces que la descripción se hacía pesada, y repetitiva, he notado como que el libro estaba más escrito para acabar que para disfrutar y, a parte de las erratas de la traducción, la estructura me chirriaba a veces, pero esto es más personal. En general ha sido un libro buenísimo que acaba dejándote el corazón roto y con ganas de leer el siguiente porque madre mía la que se viene.

You guys don’t really expect me to be able to write a rational review of the best book ever at my fourth reread, right?
Oh, you do? Well then…let’s try.
With Prince’s Gambit one dives even deeper into the politics of this world. Not only do we get a stronger feeling of the animosity that exists between Akielos and Vere, but we also get to see the inner workings of the politics of Vere. As with everything in that country, nothing works along a linear line. Deception, intrigue, betrayal always lurk around the corner and we get a heavy dose of that! Loyalties are tested and hearts are broken in this one, sweet dragons.
But what shines most of all in this book, as with its predecessor, are the characters. C.S. Pacat has an amazing writing style. It so effortlessly guides you into the minds of her characters and reveals, little by little, as if you were truly getting to know a person in real life, the masks they hide behind, the inner workings of their minds and hearts, the true people that lie beneath the surface. Prince’s Gambit is above all a book about character development, especially when it comes to Laurent’s character and his relationship with Damen. This is the book where the romance truly blooms in this series, when these two young men learn to work together, trust one other, bypass their differences. And it is done slowly, masterfully, with stolen glances, private moments, thrilling adventures. It cannot be that one reads Prince’s Gambit without screaming, squealing and begging the bookish gods for release. It simply cannot be.
And yes, I did turn fangirl there at the end. I’m sorry, but I can’t help it. This book is perfect. Damen must be protected. Laurent is the best character ever written. My children deserve the world.

Debo decir que este libro me tenía al borde de la locura, en cuanto a todo, esta cargado de unos plot twist que te dejan en blanco.

No puedo decir mucho de la trama, pues es un segundo libro. Este libro comienza justo donde nos dejó el libro pasado, con Laurent emprendiendo su viaje hacía el sur para tratar de dominar las cosas en la fronteras con Akielos, pero las cosas no son como las pintan, las intrigas políticas siguen profundizándose en esa entrega.
**OPINIÓN**
Creo que este libro mejoró demasiado en comparación con el anterior, tenemos más acción desde el principio, se explotan personajes que habían aparecido en la primera entrega y conocemos nuevos personajes, la interacción entre ambos protagonistas te quiere volver loco durante la segunda mitad del libro.
EN CONCLUSIÓN, VALE LA PENA SEGUIR CON LA TRILOGÍA Y ESE FINAL DEL SEGUNDO LIBRO... OH, POR DIOS!

Relectura realizada con los libros fisicos.
Y sigo pensando lo mismo que mi yo del 2019, vemos una evolución importante en los personajes Y EN LA RELACIÓN DE LOS PERSONAJES. Acá vemos un Laurent mucho más vulnerable y expuesto que en el primer libro, y hacia el final de esta entrega vemos como va entendiendo toda la dinamica del juego del tío.
Es una entrega cargada con mucha acción muy bien cuidada y además las descripciones usadas por la autora me parecen excelentes.
