Molly is back, keeping everything slick & span at Regency Grand Hotel & solving mysteries in her own imitable style. And style she does have, albeit with a liberal dose of the much missed Gran’s wisdom peppering her thoughts & keeping her on the right track. This is a nice, easy read, which I tore through in a couple of sittings. With thanks to NetGalley for an early copy.
Loved this! I love how much this dove into Molly’s childhood and past, and how much it celebrated embracing yourself and everything you bring to the table!
Audiobook Listen - I am really loving this series even as someone who doesn’t gravitate towards series or mystery. I adore Molly as a character and her personality. I love the mystery behind “who done it” and the way the story unfolds to leave the reader guessing until the last second. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series

I really enjoyed the second instalment of this series. Familiar characters and a nice little twist. Basically a lovely cosy mystery book.
I understand there’s controversy surrounding Molly’s character. She seems to present as autistic/neuro divergent without anyone outwardly saying anything in the book and instead her character being labelled as socially inept.
I personally however really enjoyed Molly’s character. I thought she is sweet kind caring and reminds me of certain people in my life. The plot itself is simple but fast paced and so so easy to read.

I enjoy this series. It isn’t a page turner, but it is nice and cozy with a clear mystery and a clean point of resolve, which I enjoy. Nita is very thorough and ensures there are no loose ends.
My biggest disappointment in this book is the murderer!
What Happened:
a member of the fan club did it
What should’ve happened:
He poisoned himself! This angle would’ve worked great considering he was on the hook for millions of dollars, royalties, and his reputation. I feel like maybe Nita thought about this ending and ultimately decided to go with the member of his fan club. But that felt kind cheap and I dismissed her from
The start because it was just too easy.
Either way, a great cozy mystery without being too much. No grotesque scenes in this book, which sometimes you need.
