I wish I enjoyed this one and didn’t agree with all the low ratings, but sadly, I’m going to have to add to them. Having adored Greta’s book previously, it did a great job of making Nevio very intriguing. Unfortunately, his intrigue wasn’t held up in his book. He didn’t seem so “unredeemable”, which is how he’s made out to be. And Aurora, I never felt anything for her. It’s a book of two people going back and forth, starting with Aurora being obsessed with him, eventually leading to an interaction that made me feel uncomfortable. After that, she goes away and then suddenly, he’s obsessed with her. By the midway point, I was horribly bored by this one and just wanting it to end. Throw in some baby drama which made Nevio actually lose more of my respect considering how he treated Aurora, and eventually they profess their love and the end. I was more interested in side characters in this one, but a family tree would be so useful at this point because I’m getting confused who is whose kid.
