I was looking forward for this book but i could the FMC was so second hand wmbarasong i couldn’t. It was like she had no self preservation i just kept cringing and gen MMC let me not even start like just why i did love carlata her and masimo are what got me this far bit i couldn’t
I DNFed at 60%. This one was painful. It physically hurt my heart to read. Aurora kept putting herself in situations to get hurt by Nevio. Nevio is a despicable human being. I found myself rooting against the relationship. She was so obsessed with the idea of him that she refused to see how he was hurting her the entire time. Neither MC had many redeeming qualities that made me want to finish this book.

Then what did you expect? Of course Nevio would be a monster he’s the son of a man who literally kidnapped a woman, kill like he breathes, and I mean the guy is the heir of the COMORRA mafia. Like WTH did you expect???
The only thing that I didn’t like, was Aurora’s character, way too nice, she just accepted everything without saying a damn thing. The girl had to raise a boy who isn’t even hers to begin with, because she wanted to help a guy who didn’t give a single F about her.
Thank God she made him grovel a BIT in the end.
Anyway now I’m excited for Massimo/Carlotta but even more excited for Alessio/Isabella

I’m giving 2.5⭐️ mainly for Nino, Kiara, Alessio, Massimo and Lotta. That was the only good thing about this book
I expected way more for Nevio, this book was a complete shit show. Aurora might be one of the stupidest characters I have ever read. She said that she wanted to get over him and move on bla bla bla yet she goes running to him in the first call. How easily she let herself get involved in the Battista situation, Nevio don’t listening when Aurora keeping saying to leave her alone but running away to Italy when life got to serious when find out he had a kid, leaving her to clean and deal with his problems yet he was hunting her in NY, what a coward please get a grip 💀🙄 no no no I hope Cora come back to her old writing style bc this second gen it’s flopping
Even as a Capo son I can’t see him as one, he doesn’t even deserve to become Capo, he will just destroy the empire the Camorra is, Remo, Nino and Savio didn’t fight for their city and organization just to end up in Nevio’s hands

This wasn't bad but not good either. Nevio might the craziest one I believe in the family. He was unpredictable and too reckless all the time. I really enjoyed reading the book until he suddenly got a baby. Then, we cannot see the progress of their relationship because of the baby. I think it could've been better if Aurora was the one who got pregnant. The relationship was lacking chemistry. I just cannot rooting for them. I like reading about other couples cameo though.
