Appreciated we got Isha's love story as well. Gave us a break from the Emma adaptation, which is a Jane Austen story that I've grown to enjoy more but is admittedly not my favorite.
I thought all themes were treated respectfully. I was mildly surprised we didn't dig into a couple of things, like
Graphic: Death of parent
Moderate: Domestic abuse, Misogyny, and Emotional abuse
Minor: Vomit, Pregnancy, Panic attacks/disorders, Eating disorder, and Body shaming

However, I was happy to see Naina - who I'd previously disliked - become a fully developed and deep character who I felt for and resonated with. I also loved the causes that the characters worked toward in the book. Causes that they saw a real need to address and that they didn't abandon when things got hard.
I also loved the unexpected side story involving Esha and Sid, that was so exciting to see, and I was glad that we got to see Esha grow into someone she really wanted to be and past what others thought of her.
Graphic: Body shaming, Sexual content, Confinement, and Emotional abuse
Moderate: Death of parent and Death
Minor: Pregnancy
The death occurred outside of this story, but is relevant to character's backgrounds and is discussed. One of the parents, I think without fully realizing it, is emotionally abusive and constantly body shaming her child. Pregnancy relates just to a periodically appearing side character.rebeccarudisill's review

1. There is a character named Emma in this universe. She is referenced once and otherwise never appears in the entire book. Y’all, it’s literally called The Emma Project - what freaking gives?
2. We did not spend nearly enough time with Esha and Sid. Their entire relationship was beautiful and pure and the highlight of the book for sure. So why exactly did we not get to go along with them on their Golden Gate Adventure?? Ugh!
3. Naina and Vansh alternated being utterly unlikable throughout the book. I didn’t like both of them at the same time until the very end.
This book is a fair, if rushed, ending to the Raje-Austen Universe. I just think Esha & Sid deserved more and better than 1 in 5 chapters and half an epilogue.
Moderate: Death of parent, Emotional abuse, Gaslighting, and Physical abuse
Minor: Pregnancy
There is a lot of detail about the plane crash Esha was in as a child. The narrative is driven forward by the fact that Hari is homeless. We also see him struggle in detail with severe anxiety and panic attacks.megmu18's review
