This novel didn't feel fully developed, almost as if it were fan fiction. The characters' thoughts and dialogue were often cliché and lacked true development. There was a lot of repetition and rationalization when it came to questionable dialogue and choices made, particularly by Benedict but Sophie also seemed to become a bit muddled here and there. Still good fun, but I'm hoping #4 is more like #1 and #2 and not like #3.

I really enjoyed this one! This Cinderella reimagining was so fun to read. I love that the author put her own spin on it to make it uniquely Bridgerton.
I will say Benedict is not my favorite as I found him to be a tad too hot headed. But I loved Sophie and thought she deserved a much better life from the start.
All the action in this one was exciting! Sophie finally taking her anger out on her evil stepmother in one of the last scenes?! Amazing! And we got to see so much more of Violet Bridgerton in this book! I loved seeing how she got along with the help and her kids and even those who aren't related to her in anyway. She's such a kindhearted person, and I can't wait to see her make more appearances!
I did think this one got a tad repetitive at times and the miscommunication between Benedict and Sophie had me pulling my hair out. Like, girl just tell him how he knows you!!!!!! But alas, they figured it out and all is well.

Absolutely adore Sophie, I love her to bits. I guess because I know tv show Benedict better, book Benedict was a bit of a shock. Loved the story though, might be my favourite bridgerton story yet
