Love Katie and her Sunny! Amazing to have a protagonist who is plus size, not trying to lose weight

It’s got a great message but I couldn’t get over the love triangle with her investor (kinda gross). I was familiar with megababe (obvi) and was shocked how great the writing was. But it spent a little too long on the dribble of the mundane than an actual story. We got glimpses of the romance.  I did love the newsletter aspect and would recommend for anyone who wants some awesome confidence boost when they are going through it

Great debut! I loved the inner dialogue the main character has with herself throughout the story and I was definitely cheering her on until the end. I loved the storyline the author chose and the encouragement throughout the book to be the best version of you that you can be and to not get hung up on opinions of others. I thought Sturino conveyed a nice understanding of the struggles that women often face with several issue including body image, dieting, success in the professional arena. I was surprised when the link drawn for extended sizing settled on 12-14. As a curvy woman, I would definitely not see that as the "extended" mark where finding outfits/swimwear is more difficult. So that part felt unrealistic to me and I also understood what she was hoping our take-away would be. All in all a fun story and I did love the ending!

Special thanks to Celedon Books and Netgalley for my copy; all opinions are my own.
