For a book that is essentially a prequel to a movie, I think, this was a pretty fun read. A veritable 'Who's who' of the early 20th century scientific world is working together to do awesome things, and Nazis of course are trying to steal those things.

A fun prequel to the upcoming Disney movie, Tomorrowland.
As the movie hasn't come out yet, I don't yet know what connections that this book is supposed to have in terms of characters and the plot progression. So I won't go into detail on that. The story takes place in 1939 as our various characters learn about the world of Tomorrowland. It's interesting to see how they all come together towards the climax of the story, but that was pretty much all I felt. It was interesting. What I felt lacking the most was a connection to these characters, which I did not get during the course of this reading. Likewise, I felt that some of the action was awkwardly written. Sometimes it would take a few paragraphs for an event to happen. Other times, a simple sentence. I would be reading and then realize a whole bunch of stuff happened…wait, I should go back and read that part. Because my mind wandered when I read it the first time.
This could have been a lot more than it was. More imagery and descriptions of the wonder of Tomorrowland, perhaps? More reasons to feel connected to the characters? I still have high hopes for the movie, and am sure many of you will/have enjoy(ed) it without having to have read this book.

I LOVED THE MOVIE.
But this book was rather confusing and uninteresting. I kept falling asleep while reading it and without any interesting or endearing characters I was just meh.

It was okay. As a Disney fan, I wanted to read it. The storyline was okay and semi-creative. It's a sort of prequel/back story to the film. Definitely geared towards the younger (like upper elementary crowd). I would've given it three stars, but the editing was horrible. Lots of silly mistakes.

I really wanted to love this book after such a promising premise. However, my issue with the book is that there are too many plot lines that took too long to come together into one plot line. At times the different plot lines were hard to follow. From what I did read, I enjoyed the writing and writing style.

A fun, enjoyable, and easy read. It wasn't as wildly optimistic and hopeful as the movie, but I was surprised that it wasn't as 'young' as I expected it to be; either YA or NA, perhaps? The characters were interesting and well developed, and the plot sped along. Good time!

It was a little flat but it was designed to be an easy, fun read. I enjoyed the quick pace and reading about other sci-fi fans in the 20th century was fun. I think if there had been a little more depth to what was going on, it would have made a stronger impression.
