I didn't expect to like this as much as I did! I don't normally go for sports-based stuff but maybe it helps that this is probably the loosest definition of a "sport" that you can get. The kids are totally cute and wholesome and watching them bond together was very sweet, but I'm also super excited for the time skip so I can see them in high school! I can't wait to see how their relationship changes after they reunite.

I also like how the author took time to develop each of the kid's backstories a bit even just in the first volume. Chihaya's self-centered older sister (and her mom making her into a glass child just a little bit), Arata's grandfather being a Karuta master, and Taichi's overbearing mother all getting snippets that I'm sure will tie in with the story later.

All in all, I'm pumped!

Ansiosíssima para ler o spin-off! <3

My favorite qoutes from this manga series

“Have you started a fire as a game? Although it is called talent, I think of it, as simply your speed of starting a fire until you have it burning. Those with ‘talent’ make a fire catch real quick. But that alone, doesn’t guarantee how strong your flame will be nor how long it can keep burning”

Eventhough you don’t like it, you still tried your absolute hardest in it. So I thought that, it was really admirable. That’s how much you loved those people”

And Just more love for my boy taichi

Such a good coming of age manga
Here also one of my favorite poem from the manga

Though we are parted,
If on Mount Inaba's peak
I should hear the sound
Of the pine trees growing there,
I'll come back again to you.
