I had a lot of fun with this! It wasn't as tightly plotted as Mistborn era 1, so perhaps not so satisyfing in that regard, but it was still a really good time. The action sequences were all perfect, I loved all of the characters (especiallly Marasi and Wayne), and I also loved the connectivity with other parts of the cosmere! It didn't emotionally affect me as much as era 1 did, but the ending was still really solid and I'm looking forward to era 3!

This is my favorite mistborn book in the wax and Wayne series (and maybe mistborn as a whole). The story is way more gripping and it was hard to put down. This book was so well done, it makes me think more fondly of the previous books in the series. There were some revelations that were set up back in book one, which now make me enjoy book one more. This story is also the most cosmere story I’ve read so far, in that it doesn’t shy away from making references to other cosmere projects. It also seems that mistborn is more interconnected to other cosmere stories than the Stormlight archive was. This book made me love the wax and Wayne series.
