Zvláštní to kniha.

The feminist in me wants to hate it- the way D.H. Lawrence write women (although not unusual for the time) is abhorrent and dreadful.

But there’s something about the story and the drama that I really like which is why I’d rate it so highly.

Also- I suppose as a content warning- this is just ye olde smut- honestly hilarious!!

As others have said, this book continues to get attention because of the obsenity trial rather than because it is a great work of literature. Certainly, the writing and plot is not horrible but, if it were not for the trial, I doubt many people would read or discuss this book today.
