A book about bedtime, a book about Batman! How could I resist this one when I magically spotted it at one of my libraries. I already knew of the existence of the book and was hoping I would read it one day. And my wish has been heard. This was a very cute book, I loved how we saw two sides to everything. On the one hand we see a boy getting ready for bed, on the other we see Batman fighting crime, battling the Joker and his other enemies. The ending was quite adorable.
The art was pretty decent. :)

In 'Bedtime for Batman' by Michael Dahl with illustrations by Ethen Beavers, we follow the parallel stories of a young boy going to bed and Batman. It's a wonderful picture book for toddlers and would make a good bedtime book.

We see Batman getting a signal and getting ready to go out at night and fight crime. We see a young boy get the signal that it's bedtime and he has to get ready for bed. The pictures parallel what Batman is doing with the young boy. Batman cleaning up Gotham while the boy brushes his teeth. We see Batman putting away criminals and the young boy putting away his toys.

The art is really great and I think any little superhero fan would love this story. I liked it too.

I received a review copy of this ebook from Capstone Young Readers and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

this took me 3 minutes to read. lol! while i enjoyed this, it wasn't the best picture book i've ever read. it was a short & sweet read about how kids & superheroes relate in a strange way.

Got a kid that loves superheroes but hates bedtime and bathtime? This book is perfect for that! This little boy mimics Batman as he gets ready for bed. It's adorably illustrated and a perfect bedtime book.

I find reading children's books pretty dreadful... but I love my kids, so I'm always in search of children's books that I can at the very least tolerate, or even better, possibly enjoy (the horror!). This is one that I think I can enjoy. It contains all the things that are good about children's books - brevity, bright colors, and superheroes.

There is no real moral to the story so if you are one of those parents who prefers books that teach a valuable life lesson than you won't appreciate it much, but if you are just looking for a book that you can geek out to with your toddler, then this is it.

I received a free copy of the ebook from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

A little boy gets ready for bed, imagining he is Batman, while in opposite panels on each page, Batman saves the day. Good for young Batman fans, but I wasn't too impressed with the illustrations.

Bedtime for Batman is about a little boy who can be just like batman! On his heroic quest for bedtime, he faces many obstacles like taking care of business, feeding a fish who is hungry, locking away toys that need to be picked up, and making sure he is clean and ready for a good night's sleep. The little boy is a dark knight and the story teaches us that we too can be like Batman in even the simplest of tasks like getting ready for bed.

Activity- Have the children discuss their favorite superhero. Give them a sheet to write down things that they do everyday that can be like what their hero stands for. When they've come up with heroic things they can do on a daily basis, have them name and draw their own hero and their hero's "super power" that they can do to make the world better.

For: superhero fans; readers looking for an exciting book which juxtaposes real life with Batman's world.

Possible red flags: action/adventure/characters in peril.

** I received this book through Capstone and NetGalley! Thank you to the both of them! **

A very cute children's book that even charmed me as an older reader. I came in for something cute and Batman-related and was not disappointed!
