As someone who was initially interested in the Nurture Revolution, I reached out to inquire about the program’s inclusivity. Unfortunately, the response I received made it clear that this organization does not affirm or support queer and trans parents. Their emphasis on 'pregnant women and mothers' and their framing of my concerns as 'issues' showed a lack of commitment to true inclusivity.
It’s more important now than ever to recognize that true nurturing should extend to all families, not just those who fit a narrow definition of family. The language they use is anything but nurturing, it actively excludes and alienates. If you’re looking for resources that genuinely affirm diverse parenting experiences, I’d recommend seeking out books and programs that actively support and uplift all families.

I loved how Greer tells it to you straight. She breaks down the common myths in parenting and raising/nurturing babies in infancy from a science and evidence-based perspective.
Coming from a low-nurture culture background, some of this book may seem radical. However, when you step back and look at our species from an anthropological and neuroscience lense, high nurture for your baby makes complete sense — and chances are, it's what your intuition has been telling you to do for your baby all along. It's what we've been designed for, after all.
As I was telling my husband, I'd like to buy this book for all my pregnant and new mom friends, this message is that important!
