I am too acab for a book this much about cops. The cop culture is grody, but the mystery is interesting.

This is the second book in the series featuring Alex Cooper - sex crimes attorney. Once again it finds her in the midst of cases, a fresh murder, and trying to have a life. Looking forward to continuing with this series.

Work from home 2020: book 32.

A decent mystery but too much filler content. I feel like I got nothing from the story from about 30% into the book until the final 10%. So much chatting and talking and not much action.

But this was a very early book in the Alex Cooper series — so there is grace to be found in that fact.

This is the second of Fairstein's books I've read, and I'm finding that I enjoy them more than Patricia Cornwell's because of the NYC setting. I just can't imagine how she finds time to write, given that she's also the head of NYC's sex crimes prosecution unit!

Enjoyable. Will continue to listen to this series. Barbara Rosenblat narrates which makes it a win regardless.

This is the 2nd book in the series and I enjoyed it. It's a good mystery book and the main character Alex is very likeable.
