I love how jughead is all about protecting Archie from veronica this issue. Veronica is so rude after everything to betty that she finally agreed to help jughead. Veronica seems to hate public school but is being forced to go by her father who won't even pick her up after she vomited on herself. I would feel bad for her but she spent most of the day dragging Archie around and being snobbish to everyone else. As always a the illustrations are amazing!

fiona staples, you are magic. i want to hang the cover of the first issue as a poster on my bedroom wall, i like the art that much.
my first impression of BETTY is that she's sooo nice: she helps fix her ex-boyfriend's car the night of her birthday party; she helps veronica when she has a breakdown on her first day of school; she's just so great, tomboy-ish and lively.
and then ronnie aka veronica literally looks exactly like kylie jenner when she had blue hightlights lmao and she's a reality tv star as well! 20th century veronica COULD NEVER.

Betty and Jughead make an awesome team, I can't wait to see what they come up with next issue! I'm dying to know what is #lipstickincident!!
So far I'm really loving this reboot! It's too bad that this is the last issue Fiona Staples's art will be featured. I'm a huge fan of her work and was hoping that her run would be longer.

There's, what, one more issue left in which I can gush about how good Staple's versions of these characters look? Alright. I am ready. I am prepared. BRING IT.
I love the way Jughead has so much more personality now. He's not just an ever-hungry comic-relief guy anymore, he's a very good friend to Archie and Betty, and this is kind of great to see.
Still waiting to see what the bloody #lipstickincident is. Argh.

Introducing Veronica!
She and Jughead are never going to be buds - I think Jughead sees too much of who he could have been in her behavior.
Archie becomes her pack mule almost immediately, due to a combination of "horndoggedness" and the implication of blackmail. This is just another new dimension added to the relationship thanks to the reboot!
