This was such a good book! The characters and story feel natural and the emotional beats don't feel forced. Often times traumatic or complicated backstories can feel contrived, but the author does a great job conveying the facts in an honest way that allows the depth of emotions to gradually be revealed through her storytelling.

It's such a heartwarming story about healing and finding your place in the world. I stayed up all night reading it even when it had me sobbing at 3am.

This guardianship romance accomplishes a lot in less than 300 pages.

Loved our MCs; they had great depth and development. Loved the deaf representation and seeing an MMC in therapy. If you like stories with a strong FMC, forced proximity, slow burn, an MMC that looks like they would unalive you but is a cinnamon roll, and one that demands you sit on his šŸ‘Ø, I know youā€™ll love this.

I have heard such great things about this book and I FINALLY had a chance to read it! I really fell in love with Chloe and Warren (and Luke and Willow!) and felt like their characters grew together well throughout the story. The flip from grumpy to in love for Warren was a bit sudden for me, but I was glad to read a book without the 3rd act breakup. I also loved the ASL representation in this book, especially the inclusion that Chloe and Warren always exhibited. Iā€™m excited to read Laneā€˜s story!

SO SO SO GOOD!! i have heard such good things about this series and holey moley, this was amazing. i loved warren and chloe so freaking much. like i was hooked in from the jump with chloe in the supermarket - hannahā€™s writing is so engaging, had my heart thumping, and was all around like a big hug. i loved that this didnā€™t have the typical 3rd act breakup - it was realistic & resolved realistically and i was so happy about that.

Really liked - The story kept me fully engaged from start to end even though the plot was predictable.

A romance with heart and spirit where the sexy times were not overdone like a lot of the romances I have been reading lately. This is the first romance book where I actually saw a real diverse ensemble of characters that had a purpose in the story, rather than being the sidekick fill in characters. I was just as involved with the side characters as I was with Chloe and Warren.

Favourite Quote
"Iā€™m peace to you?ā€ I ask. He nods, pulling his lips into his mouth with a creased brow. ā€œWell, youā€™re my home."

Favourite scene
"I kept every key from my life before. Eight keys to eight different homes." Chloe explaining all her keys and then reduces to having one key for the home she now has with Warren.
