Honestly disappointed about this, but it felt so first draft-y. Eventually I was like if I can't connect to the characters or pick up on any chemistry even almost halfway through the book, it's likely not worth it. I also felt myself becoming bored, trying to push through, and for what?... I liked the premise, but the pacing was horrible, a lot of details weren't worked out, and the characters just didn't feel realistic. On top of that the romance did not work at all. I felt nothing. Moved on to the next book.

I really wanted to like this bc the premise was good but the dialogue was clunky and none of the characters felt well-developed enough for me to actually get invested. The ending also seemed lazy to me bc the conflict was just a bit of a non-event and it didn't feel like Reese or Arden had any substantial growth idk it just all fell a bit flat.

I was really looking forward to reading about an author and her audiobook narrator fall in love, but it lacked too much character depth for me to enjoy it. It was very much “tell, don’t show” - my character driven ass got too bored to get invested.

If you don’t mind the above in your romance stories, then you’ll probably really enjoy it because it’s very cutesy with lots of sex scenes (that I ended up skipping towards the end lol oops)
